One of the best ways for Entelos to work with customers is through R&D collaborations, where disease specific high-impact projects are used to demonstrate the power of Entelos’ PhysioLab systems, biosimulation capabilities, virtual patient approach, and disease expertise. For example, in silico analysis plans might include questions such as
- Which drug targets—from the hundreds of possibilities—appear to have the greatest impact on disease progression?
- Of the promising compounds from early animal models, which one should be taken to the clinic?
- What should be the first dose in man?
- Which patient types are the best candidates for clinical trials?
- How shall I design clinical trials to most efficiently test for efficacy and safety?
- How does a novel therapeutic approach compare to competitor products already out on the market?
- Could this drug be useful in other indications?
- What about in-licensing candidates?
In addition, customers can partner with Entelos to build new PhysioLab platforms in new disease areas, or access technology through licensing agreements. Finally, Entelos seeks partnerships to co-develop proprietary drugs in select disease areas.
