History
Alex Bangs, Samuel Holtzman, and Tom Paterson began applying simulation and decision-support technologies adopted from the U.S. aerospace and defense industries to problems facing pharmaceutical R&D over a decade ago. They refined their approach and technology by addressing critical research problems, eventually patenting our PhysioLab biosimulation platform. Recognizing the success of their approach, they expanded the team to include business expertise, and in August 1996, Alex Bangs, Jill Fujisaki, Samuel Holtzman, Cathy Crane Moley, and Tom Paterson founded Entelos. The company has grown ever since, adding key management, scientific staff and research capabilities. Here are a few of our major corporate milestones:

















Entelos (en-teh’los) adv.

1. Modern Greek word meaning ‘entirely,’ ‘completely,’ or ‘perfectly.’ It also means ‘with a vital force that directs an organism toward self-fulfillment.’
2. In ancient Greek meant ‘with a higher purpose,’ both civically and morally.
